Spreading Christmas Cheer

The Bennet and Bernard Group believes in the concept of giving all year through and endeavours for this. Yet we recognise Christmas is a special time and do our bit to be sure it is for all. During the season of giving, our efforts to provide “Acts of Kindness” were further strengthened.
Various themes like “Be Kind to a Pet”, “Support the Needy”, “Reach out to the lonely” were ideas encouraged and organised within the teams. The teams provided food to stray dogs around their homes and vicinity. Some went out on a food drive to in industrial estate areas where feeding of dogs is much lesser. Several team members visited orphanages and old age homes to spend some time here. Special gifts were organised for site workers too.

On the 10th of December; with the Christmas season ongoing, the group decided to do something nice for the elderly, to make Christmas a little more merrier for them. The team hence organised a sumptuous home-cooked Goan meal for the inhabitants of the St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged in Bastora.

The construction workers at various construction sites were also thought of during this time of giving. Their health and hygiene; which may not be thought of as often, were provided with ‘Kindness Kits’. These kits included grooming items for men and sanitizers which were provided to them at various sites in Assagao.

We support causes that achieve long term benefit educating children living in underprivileged families, supporting other NGOs working with distressed men and women enabling them opportunities to be independent, a lot of street animal welfare activities investing heavily in sterilization for Indie dogs and cats, amongst others.
